Bell-lalooa

Part 1

*Brrrrrriiinnng* rang the phone. Lal suddenly jumped up and said “MOMMA MIA!” she looked over to her alarm clock that showed 3:22 a.m. . She got up and snatched the phone. “Um hello?” she mumbled. “LAL LAL LAL LAL LAL!!!” said the voice in the phone. “Um.. Bella?” Lal asked, and started wishing she never got out of bed. “LAL TURN TO CHANNEL 87!!!!!!!” Bella shrieked. “Ok…. but why?” Lal asked, confused as she turned on the T.V. . “OK OK OK!!!”, Bella tried to calm down.

“There’s this HUGE thing going on, they are throwing fireworks, and there will be concerts, a massive picnic, free stuff, parades, and a dance. ” Bella explained quickly. “Oh that sounds..

cool, but why did you call me in the middle of the night?” Lal said. She listened to Bella while making herself some hot chocolate.  “Well um… there’s this contest where you have to make up a band, get some music, and play in concert” Bella said a little more slowly and quietly now.  Lal took  a sip of hot chocolate and watched the T.V.. The lady on the news said-

“Our lovely chief Phoobah Katherine De Claw is holding the first annual Fireglazing Fall Festival. The festivities will start this Saturday and end a month from that.  The biggest event will be the Rockin Rockstars  contest, to enter or find out more go to Presto’s Grove now. We will keep you updated on this report, now let’s go to the weather. “

Lal turned the T.V. off.

“Hello? Lal?” Bella asked. “Oh sorry, so what did you say about this contest thing? “

“Oh… well um, I was wondering… if you could…  enter with me” Bella replied quietly. “Enter? Well… I don’t know.” Lal wasn’t sure, but she knew if she said no, it would break Bella’s heart, so she decided to try it. “Oh alright” Lal said, “But just let me sleep ok?”

“OH THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Bella shrieked happily. “Night Bella” Lal said, yawning.  “THANK YOU THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!” Bella still said. Lal knew she would say that non-stop all night, so she hung up. She made her way over to her bed and fell fast asleep.

The next morning Lal awoke by the sound of her empress trill Bun Bun’s feet. She guessed that meant she was hungry. Lal got up without bothering to change and went and got Bun Bun some food.  That awoke her bunnycorn Lilly and her Kitty fluffy. She filled their bowls with food and went and made herself an omelet. As she began to eat she heard a knock at the door.  She went to open it and saw Bella smiling. Then Bella’s smile faded when she saw Lal’s clothes. “Um hi” Lal said.

“Why aren’t you dressed yet??” Bella asked furiously.  “Should I be?” Lal asked confused. “Lal come on we have to sign up for the concert, get dressed!!” Bella demanded.  “Oh no” Lal moaned to herself.

She staggered over to her room. She put on a brown sweater and skinny jeans and went over to Bella. “Let’s go” Bella said cheerfully.  When the two girls arrived at Presto’s Grove they couldn’t  believe their eyes. There were at least 250 people waiting in line to enter the contest.  “What the-” Lal said, her  mouth wide open in shock.Bella shook her head, “I knew we should have come sooner, you wait her I’ll get us some cotton candy to eat while we wait” Bella said, skipping to the Snack Stand.  To their luck, the line quickly decreased, they got to the front before they even finished their cotton candy.  The lady had them fill up a form then said,”Dears, if need an instrument, you can borrow one from over there.”, she pointed to a shop with all kinds of amazing instruments.

“Cool”!!!!! Lal said smiling, “We don’t have to buy instruments!”   “Awesome”,Bella commented. After the girls picked out their instruments they went to Bella’s house to start making their band. Bella chose guitar and Lal chose keyboard. They both agreed that Bella should be the lead singer.  “Ok so what should we name our band”? Lal asked. “Hmm… how about.. Bell-lalooa? ” Bella said. “Awesome, so now we need to make some music!” Lal  said excitedly.  “That’s gonna be easy as cookies”,Bella replied.

But it wasn’t.

The girls spent all night trying to write a song, and they stayed up until 5 a.m. when they finally put together a song.  “I guess I better go home” Lal said with her eyes half-open.  “Nu uh!!” Bella said who was more awake. “Your half asleep, you better stay here tonight”,Bella warned.  “Uh Huh”, Lal replied as she fell on the bed. Before Bella could turn the lights off Lal was in deep sleep. “Um good night to you too”, Bella laughed.

Part 2

The next morning Lal woke up late, and was worried that Bella might get mad at her for sleeping in. But to her surprise, Bella was snoozing in her bed. Lal tip-toed out of Bella’s room and went into the living room. She turned on the TV and saw something that made her frown.  Two girls were on TV getting interviewed with Presto about their band that they had made and how good they were. Presto: “Here we have these two talented young girls who have made their band “Beat The Shakes”, they have already made and preformed 4 songs. So what do you two have to say about how far you’ve reached?

Andrea: (Giggles) Oh thank you Presto! We want to thank our fans for supporting us and coming to our concerts.

Blake: You guys are just awesome! The best fans in the world.

Presto: Well girls, what do you have in store for us next?

Blake: Well..it’s kind of a secret.

Andrea: But it’s gonna be totes AWESOME!!!

Blake: Your just gonna have to wait and see

Lal bit her lip, Bella’s not gonna be happy when she see’s this. Then, 20 minutes later, Bella came into the room coughing.

“Good morning sleepy head”, Lal said.

“Morning” Bella mumbled.

“What’s wrong?” Lal asked.

“I heard about the new band, looks like they’re totally gonna win the Rockin Rockstarts competion.” Bella replied,still coughing.

“Umm Bella.. I think you’ve got a cold” Lal said.

“No, no! I’m fine, really.” Bella said as she sneezed.

“I think we should go to the doctor” Lal told her, as she got out Cereal for Bella.

“Fine, but I’m pretty sure there’s nothing wrong with me” Bella said stubbornly.

After a short trip to the docter….

“B…But what about our band??” Bella worriedly said.

“Don’t worry, you’ll be fine after a day in bed (I could really use some more sleep too)” Lal assured her.

But days passed, and Bella was still sick as a dog.

As she brushed her teeth, Lal tried to figure out how to make Bella happy by trying to win that Rockin Rockstars prize.

After a long period of thinking, she finally figured out. It seemed like a good plan to her, but would Bella like it? Would it work?

These were the questions Lal pondered until she at last fell asleep.
